We just got a torch coral tonight. It has 4.5 good heads on it. After a dip and an hour in the tank they started to open back up. In the store tentacles were long and thick. One of the heads not of the 4.5 good ones. Is white and looks empty. Is this normal to get a dead head? Should I leave it or is there a way to remove it?

Not normal to get a dead head but many stores charge per head
As long As you were not charged for that missing head, you’re good
Head’s missing is usually a sign of too much flow leading to what’s known as polyp bailout. Can also be due to low calcium levels or too bright of light

Is this too little flow? I don’t want to blast them!

definitely not too much flow. My torches are happy in more flow than that.

I think you would be fine increasing flow a little more. You definitely aren't blasting them.
