so i cant decide rite now if i want to get a new return pump *vectra m1* or if i want to get a bigger sump at the moment rite now i have a rio 1100 pump and its only pumping out about 500 gph and i have a 10g sump and im gunna go as big as i can go under my stand i havent measured yet but im sure i can get a adv 100 eshopps in there my tank is a 55g tank or should i just get more coral!..

how close does your sump come to flooding during pump failure? 10 gallon is a tiny sump for a 55. do you have a protein skimmer in it?

I have it dialed in to where it won't overflow when the power goes out n yeah I have a protein skimmer

I recommend a bigger sump but I would personally just build one out of a 29 gallon. would probably be a lot cheaper.
