I got a new VarioS-4 today and can't seem to get it working right. I have emails out to reef octopus, Coralvue and The place I purchased it from. I don't think I'll get an email back until Monday so I figured someone here might be able to help. The FS status light is always on. when I turn the pump on it works fine. When the FS is on the light is always green no matter if the switch is open or closed and the pump does not work.

It works fine if the FS is turned off no matter if the switch is hooked up or not

There is a video on YouTube saying if you do not use the FS don't hook it up or the pump won't run.

Yes float switch is hooked up and in the sump. I think it's a bad float switch.

did the replacement float switch and controller solve the issue? were you able to figure out if it was one of those items or both?

It was the float switch. Pump is working like a champ now.

just orient the float switch the other way (wire into water) I had the same issue and it turned out the orientation was upside down. Once I reversed it, it worked just fine.
