Little update.

I got a few things from aqua sd and just went to my LFS today and scored what I think is a ridiculous deal on a acro. The utter chaos and the chalice are from AquaSD. I have to say this acro is very nice....It has a purple base and the new growth is blue and right where the polpys come out on the new growth it is yellow....This frag is 3inches tall and I scored it for 25 bucks. Check it out! lemme know what you think. Pics are from iphone...Sorrry!!

Aaron

Edit: Also wanted to add that everything seems to be going great.....I am now starting to see coraline algae on a lot of my dry rocks. All the fish are nice and fat and a few of the zoa's I have are throwing out babies...already got one on the utter chaos!

Thanks Rev,

Sad/happy day today. Sad because I had to get rid of my first fish. My Red Eared Blenny and I dont know what his fate is going to be at the LFS. Happy because he was being good for a while but the past week he has been a hellion. I put a geometric pygmy hawk in the tank and he just ended up beating it up so bad before I could get him out that the hawk passed away :(. He was also nipping at some of my coral....If anyone ever has the chance to buy a red eared blenny just pass on it.......I say Farewell and good luck Blenny.

You have an awesome tank, corals look great to. Just curious what LFS are in your area and how many are there?

Thanks everyone for the comments, very much appreciated.

I have about 6 or so LFS within an hour drive of me. Most of the stuff I have was purchased online though.

Figured I would ask this here in my thread instead of making a new thread. My new BTA is looking great but he is inside of one of the caves I have. He is getting a decent amount of flow but he is getting no light at all. He has only been in the tank a few days so I am wondering if he is hiding just because he is getting used to the new tank or what?

Ammonia : 0
Nirtite : 0
Nitrate : 3
Calcium : 410
Alk : 7.9
PH : 8.1
Salinity : 1.0255
Temp : 79.8-81

Mag is the only thing I have not tested.

If I dont get an answer here I will start a thread.

Thanks for the help,

Aaron

just read through your thread - awesome tank you have there! I would give the anemone some time and leave it be - let it go to where it wants to go. It may be adjusting to your lighting and that is why it's hiding. It looks healthy so it should find a good spot. I did look at your stocking list and wanted to warn you that if you are still considering the jawfish, you will definitely need a cover for the tank. They are very cool fish.

Thanks!

No longer considering a jawfish. I have read about them and the more I read the less I want them. They seem to have short life spans which I am not a fan of.

Next fish will hopfully be a bonded pair of swissguard basslets.

I will just let the BTA be and hope he comes out for some light.

I got the good camera out and tried to take some better photos. My BTA has now come out of the cave but still not into the light....its now under a overhand. Blue acro is now looking even better. Have a Sexy mothers day box coming to me soon so I will have a bunch new photos hopefully Thursday.

Thanks for looking!

Just did some maintenance and changed my scape up. I didnt like what was going on with it so I turned it into more of a cove style. Little foggy in there but clearing up quickly.
