Hello!

I recently came into ownership of a nice 3d printer, and after printing the obligatory boat. I am now looking to start making some things that are actually useful. I am wondering if anyone has any or seen any stl files for a lid and filter floss cup for my tank. I am working on relearning cad and eventually be able to design my own, but for now that is a pipe dream.

Designing a filter cup and lid are fairly easy. TinkerCAD is a great starter program for free online. Thingiverse is a good website with lots of STL files for all kinda of things.

You are unlikely, even with the trove of designed stuff out there, to find bits that match your needs, so if you want to 3D print, I would strongly advise you try and learn a CAD program of some sort. TinkerCAD mentioned above is highly suggested, so could be a good go too. I personally use Fusion and at times, FreeCAD.

Without it, the 3D printer is very limited in what it can do, and learning will not only help you now, but empower you to create many more bits.

I wish you the best of luck!
