I was lucky enough to bring a PAR meter home for a few hours to test my readings so I thought i would share for other #Eshopps #picoreef #aiprime owners. I was able to find that the diffuser from 3D Reefing dials back the numbers by about 25%.

Couple things to note:
  • Light is 6" from surface
  • Readings were taken with pump off. Water level was 1/2" lower than normal.
  • First 3 images are WITHOUT diffuser
  • Test depths were 2.5", 5" and 8"
  • Percentages account for UV, V, RB, B, and CW*(@50% of other values). This is the color id like to keep.
Based on these values I ended up adjusting my lights to the following with a 30-day acclimation
50% UV
50% V
45% RB
45% B
5% G
5% R
28% CW.
