Bro I was shocked AF when I saw this. I was just going to put an order in with you a couple months ago before talking to Chayse about a mixed coral pack. I’ve always loved your collection and you ALWAYS had more than fair prices. Sorry man. My crash doesn’t compare to yours in quality and value but was still devastating 6 years ago. I went a couple years before I started again because I thought throughout the 2 years, that it would take me years to fill out another tank again. And even after I started, I still thought that “I’m never going to get it back, I miss it being that full” the first couple of years after restarting. I’m now in year 4 and finishing up with centerpieces and it feels like the crash was more than a decade ago. It will take time but dude, you’re a f’n pro you got this crap! I’m sure there are plenty in the community who will want to help you with your new mission. I have a suggestion, something I’m starting now since I’m about done with my DT project. Maybe try something that you could get into that will grow fast and or something interesting to enjoy while it takes time building up and growing out your SPS. I’m adding a invert/macro-fuge/sponge/gorgonian tank with the stuff I like that I can’t put in my display. Stars, long spine urchins, arrow or decorator crabs, scallops, Condy’s etc.. but that’s just my side task version. Maybe for you it may be a pred tank or mantis shrimp, softies, idk just something for quick satisfaction and take your mind off it while the big project rebounds. Anyways, sorry for your misfortune. You’ll be back though before you know it.

Sorry to hear about your crash too. Thank you very much for the kind words.

I am going to try to get back in pretty quick with maricultured colonies like I did in the past, my "CoralWealth" ones. I really enjoy watching them adapt to tank life. I also will be hitting up a lot of the sellers/buyers I know to try to buy some brand name big chunks or mini colonies.

Everything has been up and running for over a week now and all the levels look great. I will be doing multiple ICP tests over the next couple weeks just to make sure everything looks good before adding a bunch of SPS.

I will be updating this thread along with starting another one for anyone who wants to follow the progress.

My DT is the same which is a standard 180 gallon tank, my new growout tank is 240 gallon acrylic tank 8 feet long, 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall.

. I thought some of your stuff was underrated or overlooked. That red PE fest of a tenuis you had was dope, don’t quite remember its name. Going mariculture first makes sense. There’s no certainty small frags will start growing right away and colonies will “fill space” making it look more full/further along. Good luck on the new Coral Wealth iteration, like I said earlier you’ll be back in no time.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

I assume you are talking about the one that is my profile picture which was the CW Nerd Explosion. By far my favorite coral I ever had and unfortunately now it is gone.

Display tank has been all redone, completely new rock work with way more swimming space and room for flow. I have the PVC in place to start growing the frags/colonies on them.

The new growout is setup and ready to go too. I will add lights to the sides over time as I get corals but that will be awhile. The growout is plumbed to the DT and is 8 feet long, 2 feet wide.

All the levels have been stable but obviously as you can see I have no corals. Letting the systems settle in but I will be adding a ton of corals in mid October. Been reaching out to some sellers/vendors to see if they can help out with some good deals so we will see what happens but really looking forward to adding SPS.

Awesome! I’m still growing out nerd explosion now but it really is a nice piece with crazy polyp extension. I’m also growing your CW fruit roll up and CW glow stick. Let me know if I can help once these pieces get a little bigger. Good luck sir!

This is great to hear! I will definitely get in touch to buy those in the future once you’re able to frag.

Best of luck and good on you for keeping going. It’s very hard to restart after a crash. I’ve had to do it and it’s tough. You can take your time too, that is what helped me. After losing all my SPS likely due to a rusted wet side mp40, I went with soft corals. Now, I’m planning a new tank build and going to get back into SPS. There’s nothing like it IMO as long as you understand the risks, which I’m sure you do.

Yeah it will be nice to restart but also sucks losing as much as I did, I don't think my photos do it justice with how many colonies I had and very high end colonies but I will be back soon :)

Sorry to hear about your coral loss. I’m just in Ohio, so if I can help and I’m around, let me know. Also, when you are ready for a few intro/test frags shoot me a message and I’ll get some mailed to you for free. From one hobbyist to another.
Now I wish I had ordered some from you in the past so I could help you replace some of your pieces.
