The tank seems to have stabilized, a definite loss of color but I'm confident things will bounce back... I started chopping out the losses, I'm thinking I should start making my own calcium reactor media lol.

Time for a little re-arranging of a few pieces.

Dang! That's a bag no reefer wants to have to put together. Hope things continue to bounce back. Keep us updated.

Thanks guys, things have stabilized for the most part it seems... If there's one thing I learned a long time ago about this hobby, it's not to get too broken hearted over losses, animals will come and go. I was honestly more frustrated about breaking the very large colony of orange tipped green Prostrata that had grown so perfectly in the center of the tank when I was removing one of the dead pieces.

It's not easy chopping out 1" thick branches no matter how good your coral snippers are.

Well things are slowly coming back to normal I'd say, most corals are regaining their color while a few more sensitive ones are still not really happy but no more die off it seems.

Trying to find some spare time to go pick up a new macro for my camera... For now I'll just add one little teaser since I'll be saving most of the new photos for the Spotlight.

Hopefully some parts will show up this week so that I can expand my powermodule from the current 8 bulbs to 10... I've spent the last few days trying out a few different bulb combinations as well.

I've been cooking this piece for a while now and it's finally starting to color up nicely and showing more of it's potential.

Picked up a new 40mm macro yesterday, pretty impressed with what I'm seeing so far.

In other news I've started feeding nori every other day again to try and fatten up my Achilles tang, he's been looking a little too skinny for my liking. Also trying to catch the Navarcus angel since he's started to become a little too destructive.

Another irritating evening messing with the Apex... I'm about to throw this thing in the garbage. 8 years with this controller without a single problem then the base unit and the display bite the dust, paid to have the base unit replaced and it's been nothing but issues ever sense. Looks like I'll be emailing Neptune support once again!

The last of the Powermodule parts will be here on Tuesday so looks like I'll be getting the 10 bulb upgrade done next weekend if I can find the time! Pretty excited to get a little more light on the front of the tank!

On a side not the new lens is pretty sweet, I've never been very good with fish photos but the new lens is a definite improvement!

A slight change of plans with the lighting upgrade, I made the decision to shelf the 10 bulb upgrade and use the 10 bulb end plates to space the lights out and add two Kessil A350w's to the center of the fixture. I've come up with a new bulb combo that I'm extremely happy with the overall color with the addition of the Kessil's, now it's just the waiting game for the corals to color back up since a lot of them are still really unhappy from the weed killer incident and 4 days without any light.

I quickly cracked out a new FTS (not the greatest photo) I've butchered the tank and moved A LOT of the corals around and so far I'm fairly happy although there's still a few changes to be made. While the tank still looks kinda bare to me it's definitely improved the flow around the corals and over time I think things should grow back in nicely.

It's really beautiful !! Have you got pictures from the sides ? It's to see how are arranged the pumps with regard to corals. Thanks.
