I had one that ate mysis, unfortunately he jumped.

Mine eats frozen mysis brine roe squid krill blood worms you name it he eats it...pellets as well it was easier when I slightly overfed for it to hit sand bed and have him graze over the sand now everytime I feed he floats and hovers to grab anything and everything. Best bet is continue to feed frozen and maybe use a baster to drop what your feeding directly to sand by his cave system to start getting him interested. Can also soak food in a garlic additive for smell for the first few times to get him seeling it out and slowly ween off of it....hope this helps. Pablo Escobar (our diamond goby) has escaped plenty of times a tight fitting lid does wonders.
