Diatoms / High Silicon

I sent off a ICP test due to Diatoms on my substrate.

RO/DI WATER showed 244.8 ug/l Silicon. This is my main concern. I did order all 4 new cartridges with 1 being resin for the DI. Also I ordered a new membrane. Should arrive in a few days.

Do ya’ll think this is the culprit for my Diatoms?

does this mean I should just replace the stuff I ordered for the RODI SYSTEM and just let it work itself out?

Do you have a TDS meter for your source water? I would probably replace regardless, my last ICP for Ro/di test showed 0 for everything.

Edit:
Just rechecked mine with TDS meter reading 0.

Si	Silicon	0.362 mg/l
SiO2	Silicate	0.778 mg/l

TDS shows 4 before DI canister and 0 after canister.

Is this a new tank? Some of us dose silicate.

Like mine. I change only when DI is all yellow or meter reads 1 or above. Imo, changing media now is not necessary.
