I just want to check...

Are these "bubbles" from the freehand start, or did I do something wrong? Is it OK?

The bulkhead covers it anyway...this is my first time drilling glass so not bad I guess. When I do the two 1" holes for the overflow box I should get a better one.

I just wanted to make sure I didnt overheat the drill bit (it was submerged the whole time). Took me about 10mins, but I went pretty slow with no pressure applied. I think my drill is 1200rpm, and I ran it at 1/2 to 3/4 of the full speed, so around 800rpm.

Chips don't look to be outside the diameter of the gasket.....but it also depends on what side of the tank the flange of the bulkhead goes. If the chips are on the nut side....who cares!

next time you can layer up some painters tap to try to stop this. but in the end it does not an issue as the gasket will take care of the small chips.

Do not add silicone. The gasket Is meant to be installed dried and will handle the chips just fine.
