So excited! Our first round of corals and the rest of the fish come out of quarantine this weekend!

Pics once we figure out how to get them off their plugs and onto rocks! ;Hilarious

Well today is the day I think we finally get this batch of fish and corals out of QT and into their forever homes.
Trying to figure out how to pull the plug from the monti and the green star polyps. Just use a blade and scrape of the old plug and use band to hold to new plug or rock??

LOL, just found this post on Reef Central's site;

Star polyps just grow on a mat, which can be peeled off, superglued on the rock/glass/powerhead/plastic-scuba-diver-bubbler, throw them in the blender to make a thousand frags...whatever...they'll live lol.


Assume the monti is kinda the same

I just use a utility knife blade at glue level, should just pop off and then re glue.

A little concerned with midas:

Everyone else looks ok and entire tank was treated with copper, prazi, and metro. Copper levels holding steady at 2.5 (copper power recommendations).
The spots on face have been there since arrival 3 weeks ago:

What treatment routine are you using please? I thought copper power and prazipro together was a big no no.

Several of the old timers use in conjunction without problems and we have previously as well.

We treat with copper for 30 days, prazi x 1 week and metro x 1 week. QT x 45 days total.

stuck with the loctite here... ;) the empty pin is prob where the yellow pkg w green cap goes..from what i heard they are doing 3 pks here and there,thus the empty pin...:)
i do it to...;Facepalmsee em ,grab them all,and tell them they are out.
sometimes they have a unopened box not out yet,but rarely.
