Thx Stephen! I'll find something that eats it eventually :p
It does kind of look like Wrangelia penicillata by the structure, but it is not greenish when out of water. Usually more red, brown or opaque looking when removed from water.

I looked up Wrangelia penicillata, (which I first read as Wrangler penicillin!) And it doesn't seem to match that. Rich has pulled most of it so I'm unable to get any other pics at this time but it grew haphazardly and seemed to have small bulbs at the tips of each strand. If it grows back I'll try to get better pics.

Wrangler penicillin lol. That made my day.

Description and ad.

"Those lonely days driving cattle, getting into town, hitting up the brothel and then now you are back at it, but your on fire in not so nice places. Eagle Steve the traveling doctor has just what you need. Wrangler Penisillin. Patented and proven to reduce the fire in your jeans."

Sorry, had to lol.

IIRC about 1/8" The bulkhead gasket just covered it like it should.
I'm gonna pull this conversation to my thread so I stop spamming Franks :)

Did you do it with water/live stock still in the tank? I want to swap it out and not really afraid of honing out the hole but was really wanting to just drop the water level and swap without having to clear out the whole tank.

I started going through your build thread the other day but I got lost.. I think you have like 3 now :p was watching you and Eagle_S talking about light baffles and 3d printers..

@dantimdad was wondering if I could pull maybe 1/16th of each side and make it fit..

It wasn't the hole size, it was the spacing was the issue. It was simpler, to me anyway, to just oblong one but I just don't remember exactly what the ramifications were. I sold that tank a while back.
