My digi isnt extending its polyps and my mystic sunset is bleaching, however my birdsnests is growing very fast as well as my plating montis and pocilipora.
alk 8.1
Phos .08
Nitrate 5
Sal 1.026
Ph 8.3

Could it be a pest should i dip them. Because the digi extends its polyps after a wc but then closes after a few days. Ive been very busy with my courses. Ill try to do one later. But the mystic sunset monti was growing but then stopped extending its polyps. Its very frustrating because my other sps are growing. Tank is coming to 1 year now

If suspicious of pests- do dip.
Other factors:
Too much flow
Too much bright light
Red or black bugs
False readings for alk
Alk spike
High salinity

Your parameters (assuming fairly constant) are ideal for SPS IMO.

But pretty sure I see aiptasia and they will sting SPS to death. I would hammer those nearby with kalk paste. Then get a Kleines butterfly or some berghia if you have a lot of aiptasia.

Yes, also a chance of pests. I would dip for sure. My new favorite dip is potassium chloride; it really does a number aefw anyway.

My alk has been very consistant the last few months. At most maybe .3 off. They are sitting lower light and the aptasia isnt sting them but ill remove them. The birdsnest is undernearth the ai prime. Im going to dip, cause i remember blowing something off the digi. The sunset had been encrusting pretty fast

Digi is hard to tick off. It’s ***** hardy. I have a bunch of it. I also have purple pavona, which I recently discovered was sweeper tenticling the crap out of my acan colony at night. Needless to say I have to move the acans. The point is.... I’d bet something is physically ticking off the digi.

Any emerald crabs, hermit crabs?
I have had emerald crabs stress out, pick at, and eat acros in my tank. Trying to remove all.
Nuke the aptasia.
They sting and kill anything they come in contact with.
Any urchins?
Had to remove long spine urchin as it was eating my purple digi and anacropora.
I glued some broken pieces to the top of the frag that it completely chewed off.
I know it did because I caught it on top of it, lol

I would say alk swing. But bright light can be a huge factor I’d move them to the bottom corners of the tank in the back and then slowly move them back again, or just turn your lights down and slowly slowly bring them back up

I am in the process of removing all crabs from my 120. They are always found sitting in/on corals.

Also do you have any mushrooms in the tank?

I am in the process of removing them as they are now a problem.
They release and float around stinging coral.
I have found them stuck in powerheads and laying on corals killing part and sometimes the whole coral.

Any FTS's.

My digi has grown from the last pic in October to this 4 months since removing 90% of the crabs. I would always find them in this colony.
Not any more!.

The sunset monti recovered, the digi however did not make it. I have since replaced the digi and monti and they are growing very well. The digi took a few months to encrust and is now shooting out little growths along its base. Ill add some pics in the next post
