Use that in your web browser to access the home page. You will need to enter the default name and password. If I remember correctly it is DigitalAquatics for the name and password for the password.

It shoud be something like NET-1-0212.bin . the 0212 may be different depending on the version you are installing. Once the webpages are installed you will have to update to the firmware that goes with that version of webpages. It may not have the same number though. I my myReef folder the only ones there are NET-1-209.hex which is the firmware and NET-1-212.bin. I have to assue these are compatible.

When I put in the 212 bin file and click upload, it brings me to an error page and says that the website cannot display the page.

Also it may have updated OK but now needs the newer firmware to connect. Can you still connect to the home page?

Not sure what you mean I just clicked on downloads and found the file that said net 1-0212. It says the type of file is a compressed zipped folder. What is the home page I don’t think I ever connected to it?

After you entered the username and password that is the homepage. It has to be the NET-1-0212.bin file and not the .hex file. The .bin files are webpages and the .hex file is firmware files. Both are in the NET module folder.

OK, that depends on your router. If your router will let you reserve a ip address that is the way to go. Just reserve the IP address that the NET module is on now for the NET module. You will need the NET module MAC address. Once that is done choose a port for external access to the NET. I use 7092 on my Archon. Then go into you router and setup port forwarding for that port number to the NET module on port 80. Then you will need a ddns service that is supported by our router. Select that service in your router after you have your account setup at the ddns service. I have a Asus router and use their ddns service for free. Most of the services charge some kind of fee. What the ddns service does is it redirects you ddns service address to your actual internet IP address. You router will keep the ddns service updated with your current internet IP address. Unfortunately this what we have to deal with with dynamic IP addresses. It changes depending on your internet provider. Since I am not familiar with your router I may or may not be able to help with the router setup.

Not really, but I have never used Apple routers. Does the router have a model Number?

I am trying to get the email notifications set up, however I keep getting error messages. On Digital Aquatics forum they recommend gmx, but it doesn’t seem to work either.

The NET module does not support SSL so you have to use a non SSL port with the email server. Unfortunately a lot of servers no longer have a non SSL port. GMX did the last time I checked. I have not checked lately.
