I am looking for a Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper light control module (LCM). I know Digital Aquatics have been out of business for years now but do see the reefkeepers come up once in awhile. I have been running Reefkeepers on my take since the late 90’s and currently have 1 brand new complete Reefkeeper elite controller system left that is going on my new custom built 85 gal. Reef tank. I really like the Reefkeeper and need that module for T5’s and yes I still use metal halide lights. They just work for me the past 30 years. Let me know if someone has that module and I get lucky.

Are you referring to the ALC module? There is also one that was call the AVC that could be set to 0-10v or either 5v PWM or 10v PWM signals.

I have not seen anyone selling them lately but I have not kept up too much with Digital Aquatics lately since I switched over to Hydros. I do still have an Archon but it only controls some of the lighting using the MLC and AVC modules. My light require a PWM signal and the AVC module can supply that type of signal.

Since I already have a brand new Reefkeeper Elite controller, I am just interested in the ALC module. I have recently purchased 2 brand new PC4’s so know you can still find Reefkeeper modules around. Hopefully someone will have one to sell.

Understand, hopefully you can find one. I used Digital Aquatics for quite a while after setting up my tank. If you click on the "My Tank Thread" banner on one of my post it will go to my build thread. I think it was the later part of page 6 when I got my first Hydros controller. I was an X4 starter kit. It has 4 0-10v outputs on it. Currently there is one other Hydros with those outputs and it is a Wave Engine version 2. The Wave Engine LE does not have the 0-10v outputs but does have 0-10v inputs. The first things I controlled with the Hydros was ATO and AWC and I did that without having a Hydros controller at the tank. The Hydros controllers were in the garage at my mixing station only at that time. So I was passing signals from the Digital Aquatics system to the Hydros for when to top off with the ATO and if it was ok to do the scheduled AWC. At that time I was using a dual head dosing pump for AWC. I did add more controllers to the Hydros in the garage to also control my RODI. So I have it setup to auto fill the DI reservoir when that goes low and also transfer the contents of the mix tank to the fresh saltwater reservoir when it goes low and the mix tank contents is ready to use. Once the transfer completes it will refill the mix tank with DI from the RODI unit. All I have to do is add the salt mix to the mix tank and then press a button when the mix tank contents is ready to use. I use 3 20 gallon Brute cans for the containers. I only drilled holes into the lids so it is less likely that there will be leaks there. I do have leak detectors setup just in case though. I was already controlling those things with the Digital Aquatics controller but with it it did not have any input for actual water level. The X4 has 4 0-10v inputs and I used 3 of those and some NXP pressure sensors to get a tank level read back in percentage of full for those three containers. So I can see how full they are at any time without going out to the garage and lifting the lid. The 4th 0-10v input is used by my three button boxes. There are 4 push buttons that control my DI dispense, fresh saltwater dispense, bench light and mix tank ready. The dispense buttons turn on pumps that can dispense water from either the DI or fresh salt water reservoirs into containers as needed. Below is a screenshot of the garage inputs. The one switch is used to halt the AWC and also disables all the other push buttons. If I go out of town for a few day I can just press that switch and it will halt the AWC schedules and keep the other buttons from being activated. I can then just press it again to continue with the AWC schedules.
