Agree with this. I was hesitant the 2nd time, as the first time was prior to the long thread about it here.FWIW, using chemical pesticides such as Vibrant have the potential to harm more than the unwanted pest, and may not be the best way to go.
Did you dose directly to display or sump? Double checked dose for water volume? That sounds like a separate issue, either unrelated or exacerbated by vibrant dosing. Calibrate salinity and double check? Hard to see that much mag disapearing without a salinity swing.Sorry I have an old old old iPhone. I am using a turkey baster ever hour to blast off the sps. All my parameters went out of wack. DKH went from 8.3 to over 10. Mag went from 1350 to 920. Cal is around 420. N03 and P04 went to 0. This tank is 6 years old. SPS lost all reds and pinks instantly.
Salinity is 102.5. Stable.Did you dose directly to display or sump? Double checked dose for water volume? That sounds like a separate issue, either unrelated or exacerbated by vibrant dosing. Calibrate salinity and double check? Hard to see that much mag disapearing without a salinity swing.
Ah i definitely wouldnt recommend that, you have to think about how concentrated that dose is going in there before its fully mixed. I typically do not dose anything other than phyto/aminos to the display, everything goes in first chamber of sump to dilute and mix prior to heading up to the display to further mix.Salinity is 102.5. Stable.
Dosed it directly in the tank.
Dealing with similar issue after using vibrant to eradicate bubble algae. Never will use vibrant again. Dealing with Dino’s for a month. Daily dosing nitrate, phosphate, silicate, tried UV now. Basting off what strands get stuck on my SPS …ticking me off. Hope it all goes away soon. Any tips? How long did it take for yours to go away?Sorry I have an old old old iPhone. They changed the label finally, you must have old stock.I used vibrant as believed the lies on the bottle about it being natural not an algaecide firstly it did nothing good for the tank killed my long standing scolly ,killed my cheato which grew like crazy even years later after many water changes I still can't grow it anymore and gave me dinos which I can't get rid of no mater what now going bare bottom in final desperation . Can't believe they are still allowed to sell it .
It took months!!! Be patient. Never again.Dealing with similar issue after using vibrant to eradicate bubble algae. Never will use vibrant again. Dealing with Dino’s for a month. I even tossed around the idea to not dose it. Shame on me. Did you lose any corals from the Dino’s?It took months!!! Be patient. Never again
