Not really sure what I am dealing with but it looks like Dinos from what I have been looking at online so far. Started seeing this pop up on my zoas and a little bit on my gonis primarily after I removed the chemi-pure elite out of my filtration system. I have no clue if that is part of the cause of this issue.

System information:

Waterbox aio 35.2 roughly 28 gals of water
Kessil a360xe 70% primarily on my acros
21” ai blade grow 50% supplemental light
Mixed reef zoas, acans, gonis, euphillia, acros

Water parameters before

Alk 8.3
No3 10ppm
Po4 0.05
Cal 450
Mag 1340

Water parameters today

Alk 8.3
No3 ~4ppm
Po4 0.09
Cal 440
Mag 1400

Might be hard to make out in the pics but I’m talking about the stringy stuff on my magicians and the bubbly on the rocks it’s in other places but that was the most easily photographed

...you might have a good use for a microscope. Do you have one? If so, grab a sample from the tank and check it out.

IMO you probably don't have pest dino's....but I actually don't see much in the photos.

What you might see is corals expelling their own dino's to try and adjust to some change...

I have no clue if that is part of the cause of this issue.
...like adding and removing GFO media. ;)

Yes, quite possibly the whole cause.

From that limited trend, it's likely your PO4 bottomed out when you added the media. Looks like now that PO4 is back, nitrate assimilation has increased so that level started dropping.

Keep an eye on both NO3 and PO4 – don't do water changes while they are low, and don't do anything else "extra" like the Chemi-Pure.

And let us know if you get some microscope photos!

No microscope here and the before is actually before removing the media I have been running the chemi pure elite for about 1.5 months and read it could strip my water of some trace minerals so I pulled it out and that’s why my phosphate rose to 0.09

That's the "trend line" I was referring to.....

PO4 increasing and NO3 decreasing between the dates.

Those are macro nutrients, BTW. Phosphorus being even a little more significant than "macro" when it comes to corals.

Consider a scope, BTW. Perfect hobby for it. Even a $12 toy scope will work, only 400x magnification is really necessary. But $50 will get you a baseline "real microscope" that will be much nicer to use. It will also be MUCH cheaper if you like to shop used.
