Having my first battle here, are this dinoflagellates or brown hair algae?

Do you guys have any recommendations for chemical treatments or additions to my cleanup crew? Already lowered white LEDs.

Thanks in advance

looks more like algae to me. i used brightwell razor to get rid of algae and dinos. with a 3 day blackout too. my corals were mad but they lived. also if thats all you have, you can manually remove it by pulling it off and siphoning it out.

I’ve never had any algae problems but I’ve recently picked up a couple coral frags with a little GHA (or brown algae?) on them.

Some of my corals are a little sensitive right now and my tiny birdsnest is starting to become partially covered in it. I’m going to just run mostly blues for however long it takes.

Are there any treatments that you’ve used in the past that would help battle the algae? Or is this just something for the clean up crew besides scraping the coral?

Misread your post there 🤦‍♂️ I researched brightwell razor and some people are reporting bleaching by occurring. Did you have a problem with that at all?

I have a couple montiporas, a Duncan, a couple Kenya trees, a zoa, and a green birdsnest.
