I have truly done everything imaginable as suggested to rid my Dino’s.
So I bought Dino X
So far I’ve lost a fire fish, royal gamma, peppermint shrimp, cleaner shrimp and urchin.

Has anyone had a kill like this.
Im on dose 6 with more Dino’s than ever before.

I just don’t know what to do anymore.
I love my tank, but can’t rid Dino’s.

current pareneters.
Nitrates: 10
PO4 .10
KH 10
Cal: 440
All else is fine.
always great water parameters. .

Dinos are the worst...Certainly you’ve seen some of the dino threads. Have you been able to ID them? Have you tried elevating phosphates and nitrates? UV?

At last check it was osteropsis
I changed bulbs for UV. Doesn’t work.

I’ve read all the GREAT info on the forums. My PO4 is usually around .25.
NO4 is usually 10 and I dose with stump remover.

Should I just buy and dump a lot more PO4 in?

Ok. Phosphates and nitrates are good. Honestly, if it really is ostreopsis, you can get rid of it quickly with the right sized UV used correctly. What size is your tank? What UV did you use, how was it connected to your system, and what flowrate went through it?

This is a cross post...
I have added plenty of NO3 and PO4.
Last night, NO3 was at 10ppm
PO4 was around .25.
It "looks" like GHA growing on some of my rocks (brownish though).

I worry I have added so much PO4 & NO3 that things are dying. I have lows most of my CUC, and now another 4 fish.
I am down to two clowns and a tang and a long ten. anomoe that mostly stays closed. Had 12 fish at one time.

When I continue to add NO3, I get a HUGE bloom and strings everywhere. I am now up to 1 cup a day of stump remover...
This can't be good.

I used almost the entire bottle of Dino X....nothing.

My gha also looked brown when I had dinos. That’s ok. Gha is a good thing for you now.

I would be sure to run granular activated carbon to reduce toxins that could contribute to your cuc and fish death.

I believe that uv is 9 watts correct? If so that would likely eradicate ostreopsis in a 30 gallon or smaller tank assuming its plumbed from DT back to DT. I don’t know your tank size, but you’ll want at least 1 watt per every 3 gallons plumbed from DT back to DT with about 1-3 tank volumes per hour running through it. Most have eliminated ostreopsis with that method in less than a couple of days.
