i have a waterbox 100.3 that has been rolling for 4-5 months. The tank sits in the center of my living room so I had my 2 Aqamai powerheads firing straight out. I know this isn’t optimal so today I’ve moved them so they are firing at each other on the left and right rear upper tank.
How far under the surface should they be and should they be firing exactly at eacother or one up one down or left/right for better circulation? And the main pump lines. Should the be firing towards the sides of the tank or the front.
Community tank with encrusting and soft corals.
Thanks!

That’s personal preference and your coral would tell you what’s bad and good

I personally have both of mine mounted at the ends of the tank, facing 45 degrees out from the corner, both at different depths. That way both streams can kind of "weave" through the tank. It isn't perfect, but it helps my corals in the middle that are past my big rock. It keeps my GSP in the very center of the tank happy.
