Disappearing Anemone

Ok so had a normal I think it was a long tentacle anemone but in early Dec it disappeared after six months of never moving and I hunted around thinking it might be in the rocks or something but and never found it. Figured it died.... well yesterday I noticed a very small anomie, like the size of a nickel. Today I found two more, so three total very small anomie's that are not even close to each other in the tank... what the heck did it split or die and .... I got no idea but how did my one turn into 3 small ones? Is this common?

Now every time I walk by the tank I'm looking for more of them.... it's like find waldo suddenly for me.
