Official Entry: Subscribed to their newsletter. Always shocked by the estimated year that the worlds coral could almost be extinct. 2050 isn't that far away to have a 90% or more mortality rate for the worlds corals. Hard to think I will be alive to witness such an event. I am happy to see more organizations like The Reef Institute stepping up to help keep the oceans full of corals.

I would have never dreamed I would geek out so much over this stuff, I learned that the ocean floor is 1% reef! I knew it was disappearing but I knew not the rate, better head and see it for myself.
