Hey, that's a good question because that pic is actually super old compared to where my acros are now. I think I need a new FTS! Maybe later this week.

Anyways, my T5s are 10" above the waterline and my highest acro on each side is about 2-3" below the water line. When I do a water change they stick out, which is why I do WCs before the lights come on as I'm a little worried they could get burned.

Every now and then I get to up and see Mikes tank in person. Corals always look great and are very colorful. I’ve been fortunate enough to get some of his corals

That’s surprising to me. I didn’t expect that big of a par jump. Sorry I'm going back in time here.

Thanks Bob. You were actually the last person to see my tank. That was right before the quarantine, so others that stopped by have had to meet me outside. Sounds like it will be a while before others will be able to see it in person...

I agree, very surprising. I run two of the bulbs 10 hours/day and the rest 8 hours/day, so perhaps it's because I'm running them longer than most? I would imagine if I went a year like most people between changes it would be a much larger jump.

I go 18 months on mine, but I use 4 t5’s with my 6 kessils. I’ve never really checked the par difference on old vs new. I guess I’m too big of cheapskate to look back now.

Aaaaahhhhh probably one of my favorite corals. I've been looking for one for a super long time, because everywhere I've looked has been sold out. Yours is colored up very nice tho!!
