Hi guys i'm building stand for my 210 oceanic tank measure of 72 x 24 x 29. I've sketch up a design and i would like no brace in center anyone with experience can help me see if this is strong enough?

Total weight with water would be around 2000 lbs.
With rock/decor/live stock I would like this to support around 2500 lbs.
Went with 2x6 for support and the rest is 2x4.

Thanks

Do you know if i could use this exact design but 8' long? One side will be my 150g 5' tank and then a foot space and then a 30g shallow on the other end?

My worry is the load would not be evenly distributed. Maybe if you added support.

Adding a few more vertical supports will help ensure that everything is square and level. Use thick plywood for the top. While 2x4s should be strong enough, using 2x6s could provide you with some extra peace of mind. Perhaps other experts here can chip in for a larger build.

This is what I was thinking as well.

Yes, I'm planning on using 2x6 all around
