Just starting to build my diy calcium reactor.
It’s going to be a 27” 6.25” inner media chamber with a boxed bottom for pump flow area etc. Pics to come

Can’t decide between the sicce sdc 7.0 or ecotech vectra s2 for recirculating pump.

I’m leaning towards the sicce for reliability and warranty.

Trying to decide if I want to run it off my tank manifold or use a Kamoer or just basic feed pump. My consumption is about 300ml of each part of ESV cal/alk

Where are you sourcing your materials? I have the requisite lathe and oversized drill press I can mill on but sourcing plastics has been problematic for me. I am loving this though, my favorite part of the hobby is diy, so as much as you feel I will be following! Thanks!

Let me know if they are quiet. Some have reported that they can be noisy.
Also they won’t power back up during power outage.

Honestly I would have gone with Jebao DCP. I recently replaced the original pump on my MRC CCR-8618 with a Jebao DCP 8000. It is nearly silent and pushes just as much water as the original Blueline pump while running at only 50%. I have the Sicce and it is pretty quiet but not as quiet as the Jebao. The warranty is nice tho.
