I'm trying to order the correct size materials for the durso for the bulkhead. The previous owner had a pvc reducer from whatever size this is to 3/4" drain. I would like to have it so the drain is not reduced, as I was told it wasn't necessary by members.

Can anyone tell me what size bulkhead this is (for the drain)? ? It's 1.25, " not 1.5" correct? So ineeda 1.25 male adapter and 1.25 piping for the drain?

I had thought for under a certain size pipe a reducer was required for best operation. I don't remember if it was sound reduction or drain. Anyway I seem to remember any pioe under 1 1/2 pipe needed to be reduced by 1/4 inch to bulkhead. Larger pipes didn't need the reduction.

Might want to double check.

^ I'm sorry but that isnt true at all. Reducer actually cause quite a bit of turbulence which can affect flow.

That said, a 1" full siphon line can handle more flow than most people are going to throw at it.

No worries, wasn't sure just something I read. Found it after I posted. But I'll defer as I was only in planning stages and didn't run one.

Meah.. he is probably upsizing the pipe so that flows in the pipe are more laminar.

I'm not a huge fan of that style... it creates a sucking sound with the air. I like just a open stand pipe.
