diy pvc sump

im thinking about fabing a sump using 1/2" type 1 pvc. I found the stock, i got the shop but im having trouble finding info on adhesives. Ive read that pvc pipe adhesive is out. Im good to go to spend a couple hundred an a plastic welder to seal the inside joints but id like the outside seems flush and polished. Also ive read that weldon acrylc glue will work on the windiows but id like more info. Has anyone had any experience with this?
