Did you search on R2R for the Reefbrite links? I posted a few comments on that too... However it will be hard to search for all my post since this **** posted too much lol
Yes, I saw that thread, thanks. It discusses dimming the Meanwell drivers, but I can't figure out how it would apply to the Reefbrites. The Reefbrite power supply is a 24V/4A brick that feeds into the LED strip.
The company offers a manual dimmer that simply plugs into the line between the power brick and the LED strip. I'm guessing that it is a potentiometer of sorts that varies the voltage. Their APEX interface works on a similar setup - line in from the power supply and line out to the strip; it also has a line going to the APEX.
I'm guessing that what I need is a board that can use a 0-10V input to vary the voltage. I think.
Well, you need to filter the information you need :-)
The reefBrite is dimming from PWM, how rapidly the LEDs are turned on and off. The apex is controlling the 0-10V output. The device, Voltage to PWM Converter Module, is reading the 0-10V input received from the Apex and controls the PWM output to the ReefBrite.
I speculate the 4 holes are for the input and the 2 holes are for the output.... the apex 0-10v will go to 2 holes and the 110V ac will go to the other 2 holes on the input side. I have never looked into this module. That is the only thing I am not sure about this..... :)
This is very clear on what it does...just cost more LOL
