That's from a day of skimming? Are you skimming fairly wet? Cause that is amazing

well things are starting to turn around in the tank.. SPS are looking alot better, unwanted algae is starting to go away, SPS are starting to grow like crazy now, I think I'm ready for more.. :D
Here is a shot of A.Tort the tip is new growth in the last WEEK.. which IMO is pretty good since this coral is a slow grower....

Also check out the Chalices.. BGM is taking off, so is the MH, so many New Eye's coming in on both, the only thing, they are getting way to much light.. Par is in 350 where they sit..**

Great update! I'm glad that your tank has turned around and is doing much better. A happy reef creates a happy reefer, lol.

wow this is an awesome update =)
Thanks Guys.. Sunny, Happier reefer indeed Bro, when the tank was down, I was down.. It was quite sad to be honest... The smell of Dead SPS in the house, cloudy smelly water from the Mass RTN really turns ones stomach.. Hated it man, I hope to never have that feeling again.. :bad_smelly:

Yeah, it crazy but my tanks condition affects my mood. When the tank is looking and doing great I am very happy. When cyano starts to creep up I get discouraged. I try not to let these issues discourage me, because being down and not addressing the issue can lead to problems later.

Now grow, clip, sell, upgrade, and repeat! :)

Tanks looking good, glad things turned the corner- any theories on what caused the die-off? Weird that the mature colonies couldn't handle the change, but the small frags were more able to adapt

IMO, the colonies just didnt take to the changes, Frags are used to being moved around(Flow, lighting) and the colonies were just used to a certain flow, lighting, water condition.. then to get thrown into something different just made them grumpy and start to RTN.. again, this is just what I think...

ASD? very nice milli though along with the other stuff.

That said- agree with you on the colony thing- and suppose it does show that juveniles are more able to adapt to changing conditions than adults- frags are just weird as it's basically a piece of a big colony, ya know? I'm always curious if something is triggered in the coral when it feels itself broken from the colony- if something triggers it to have a growth spurt or what.
