Beautiful tank. You have some amazing colonies.

Would you ever go back to gyres? Or are the QP-16's much better?

Gyres were so loud. They moved the water but I do not want to hear it to other side of the house QP-16 is quiet and move the water nicely. Ofcourse the quality difference can be seen but I can buy 4 of them in the same price as gyres. The flow pattern is better adjustable when there are 4 powerheads.

And there she blows! For some reason my clam started to spawn. Thats what they do but when the clam is bigger than my head that will change the water to "milk" really fast

I have suffered low PH so I bought an ATI EX 4 Co2 scrubber. Normal value was between 7.79 - 7.9 during the day and night. ATI has a quite big grain media and this will help the airflow trough the scrubber to skimmer. What I read from the internet it should increase the PH value easily to 8 - 8.4.

I ordered a calcium reactor. The amount of balling is so high that I have to fill the containers all the time. I choose Deltec PF601s model and it will be controlled by Profilux 4 and KH director. Director will keep the dKH steady by controlling the PH value inside the reactor. Let's see how it works. It could be a disaster or great success :D

How is the ATI CO2 scrubber doing?
Did pH raise?

I love this reactor plan.
All German engineering. You are taking risks. LOL

It works like a dream. I'm driving the reactor 6.15 PH and the hysteresis is 0.1 so the PH window is 6.15-6.25. I'm going to go low as 6.00 if needed and narrow the window to 0.05 PH. Dastaco2 pure calpro media should be used 6.0 PH and that gives 60-70dKH. I don't undestand why most of the people here in forum seems to use 6.5-6.8 PH level? dKH of the tank is 8.7 and I'm going to keep it about this level. Flow of the feeding pump is 33ml/min.

I got all the information and controlled outputs in the Profilux 4. It helps a lot to find and keep the optimal PH and water flow. KH Director gives the dKH every 6 hours so I know what is happening in the tank.

Great setup with this German combination.
Did you find the sweet spot already to maintain dKH?
