Is this normal for an anemone to do? It was fine all day, never seen this. I’m new to saltwater keeping.

I’ve seen them closing up like that during the night when the lights are off. Sometimes just before they split, but also when stressed. BTA’s are challenging to keep, so since you are new to saltwater keeping. How long have you observed this behaviour? How long have you had the anemone?

Well the Nem has been fine until I saw this last night when lights when off. I’ve had this tank set up for 3 months now recently this BTA was added about a week ago. Maybe 2 weeks now

Have a look if it is looking good with the lights on. They tend to look like that during the night. If it keeps looking like that during daytime (let’s say 1-2 hours after lights on). We can investigate further if it is stressed out or not.
