Do miami hurricane chalice plate or encrust?

Hi everyone. Does anyone know if the miami hurricane chalice plate or encrust only? Just got one and wondering what the placement of it should be? Also wondering the same for watermelon chalice. Any thoughts and help would appreciated. Thanks

I had a Miami chalice that grew into a dinner plate on the bottom of my tank, but it didn’t attach to the bottom for what I remember. So , probably plating.

I believe watermelon is an encrusting type.

I have never seen a MH actually encrust and agree more of a plate. Have even had them grow in more of a cup or "chalice" form under very low light
