I have an Innovative marine tank and the back wall is actually a black acrylic insert. I dont scrap it cause Im afraid that scratches would really show and be an eye sore. I do ocassionally wipe it with a soft cloth (actually a lap sponge, I get from working in surgery) when I do water changes. I hope it turns purple eventually. Or I'd be okay attaching GSP to it but I dont want to glue it.

I have a tuxedo urchin, he’s eaten all of my coralline. So, I clean the light brown algae when I do the rest of the glass.

I clean mine but only because I have gha on the back, haha

I clean the left and right back glass sides with my magnet cleaner every 2 weeks. It removes the film algae but leaves the coralline in place. I don’t clean the glass on the back overflow because my Tangs won’t let me.

I kind of have to - the 300 is a 360' walk-around island, with the reef starting at "the back left" and running diagonally to the "right front" and viewable from all sides.

I'm "redecorating" at the moment, so it's a bit of a mess.
Cheers,

Well for instance in my tank some zoas are growing on the back wall and the big green acro has encrusted a big portion of the wall. Even the big rock nem attached to the back wall. Corals such as cyphastrea or porites can encrust on the back wall and of course GSP. They make some cool magnetic rock formations also that you can attach to your back wall and add corals to also.

I always maintained to keep a lot of space between the rock and the back for cleaning and retrieving stuff. Now have to rethink Thanks for your time

What if I told you that algae will eventual...

I'm not sure that's how that works... :-)

That could turn out pretty kool....
