What sand bed? Sand will eventually turn hard as concrete....then you gotta alotta hard work on tank teardown
Exactly! What about I replaced my sandbed with a full-on zoanthid garden?
Its hard not to love both but I think I like uncluttered better.Do you prefer to leave your sand bed empty or do you like to cover it in corals? I personally think the lack of corals on the sand bed makes the corals on the rock stand out more (positive/negative space and all that) but i know some of us just cant stop collecting when the rock's covered
Clean sand bed, looks great
Cluttered sand bed, also looks great
Which do you prefer?

Uh, what? Maybe you dose ALK and CA at the same time?? That can cause the sand to start fusing together. Otherwise, this has never happened to me or anyone I know.
