Do you keep your sand bed clean or cluttered?

Do you prefer to leave your sand bed empty or do you like to cover it in corals? I personally think the lack of corals on the sand bed makes the corals on the rock stand out more (positive/negative space and all that) but i know some of us just cant stop collecting when the rock's covered :rolleyes:

Same here. I just rescaped so my engineer goby is still digging tunnels :confused:

I like a spotless sand bed....like the first picture. When there is a bunch of stuff on the ground it reminds me of my kid's bedrooms and I want to start picking stuff up :)

I take your point, but those are two extremes in your pictures. I'd like a three or four sizeable colonies on small, stand alone rocks in the bed. Agreed, clutter and an overfull bed doesn't look great.

Well my sand bed is quite cluttered up with corals growing on it

On the tanks in question. I can go either way. Depend on how it’s setup and the overall look.

I think this is what most people do. I could count on one hand the amount of times I've seen a trachy or a clam on the rockwork in a tank

I keep very little sand in my tank and very little on the Little sand that I have (which for me allows detrious to reach the filter quickly. For me, past experiences expresses that sand irritates and upsets various coral so I keep them elevated.

It's hard not to have corals on my 10g's sandbed. To much stuff not enough space.

I do keep some corals on the bottom of the tank they are just not on a sand bed as I went Bare Bottom.
