Do you like Green Slimer?

It was the main attraction to non-reefers.

It's funny how "non reefers" always seem to be impressed by the most inexpensive fish and coral in your tank. "They" always drool all over my red digi colony and my GSP and ignore my chalices

I have been keeping SPS for several years and have never had any green slimer. I have been waiting for someone to frag some locally. Most non reefers do love the more common corals and fish, but some of us reefers that have been in the hoby for some time also like the more common corals.

I have a frag for about 2 months and I can't tell if its dead or alive! :( its a brownish color but was white when I got it. Never looked like these pics. I have it high in the rock work, I've had it in the sand bed and I've never seen any changes. What can I do? Is it dead..... lol or should I keep trying. I think they look cool from photos I would try again.

I love the Green Slimer but I have yet for what ever reason I have not been able to keep one. They always die on me.

My green slimer isn't looking so green anymore. I assume it's because I moved it off the sand bed and mounted it on rock. Is that normal? Will it become fully green again? It had been on the sand bed for a few weeks. I'm worried that it's bleaching. It's one of my first SPS pieces . I would appreciate any tips or advice

It's probably the only acro you can regularly get 2-3" of for only $5 (or free - it seems to be a good "throw in" coral at least locally)! It's also one of the only acros that can be put through hell and back and still grow incredibly fast through it all. And, best of all, it keeps it's super-bright metallic green even in very high nutrient tanks long after all of the other, more wimpy acros lost their color.
