The ones with Too Much Personality earn appropriate names! Like "Timmy" the invisible royal gramma (cowering behind rocks! Timid.). The rest seem to acquire SpongeBob-esque titles, which to my satisfaction, totally ANNOY family members. Imagine ending texts with, "Pipey the Pipefish salutes you!" FYI, these are not aquarium people!! ROFL.

Lucky and Ricky, Amazing, love it. I better be careful or I'll have a pair named the same.

Nope. A copperband is a copperband and a cleaner shrimp is a cleaner shrimp. Many who see my tank ask what is that fish ( Naso tang as an example). I prefer to educate them on what a tang is and not Hank, the nicest fish in the tank.

There are some really great names on here.
I won't name my fish until they're out of QT, they're all just called by their name, but I've named some of my inverts and corals.
I'll let you all play the guessing game on some of them ;)
Pepper-
Turbo-
Halloweeny- the very shy Halloween hermit crab
Clammy-
Hammer-

Then there's also Crabby (x2) one had an identity crisis and has been chilling in a shell. IMG_0615.JPG

Then there's Jacques

and Hermie-

only once and it was Mr. Skizto. It was a wrasse I no longer have. The name escapes me. I think it was a high fin wrasse but not 100% sure. Anyways he drove all the other fish crazy with his " I'm gonna swim around this tank as fast as I can." you never knew when he was gonna take off going all skitzo

My eight year old came up with those. Not sure how an eight year old knows I Love Lucy, but for now I blame YouTube.

Had a Sohal Tang named Attilla once but I don't usually name them. Currently, I do have a male Genicanthus Semifasciatus whom I refer to as 'Fatboy" but that's really more of a nickname between he and I.

Some names based on Finding Nemo (obviously)
Both clown fish - Nemo
Yellow Tang - Bubbles
Hippo Tang - Dori
Sailfin Tang - Shishi (grand daughter named)
Lawnmower Blenny - Grandpa due to the bushy eyebrows
Copperband Butterfly - Copper
Firefish - Todd because we bought him with Copper (Todd and Copper from Disney)
Flame Hawkfish - Tony because he reminded us of Tony Soprano in the way he perches and just surveys his turf
Cardinal Fish - the Jets because we bought them as the same time we bought the blenny - B B B B Blenny and the Jets
Powder Blue Tang - Herman because we thought he looks like Herman Munster
Magnificent Foxface - Foxy (boring and obvious name selection)
Blue/Green Chromis - Bean Dip - because I misunderstood what my daughter-in-law refereed to them as and it sounded like bean dip
