Do you name your fish?

As for inverts, I don't usually name them, but my male clownfish is named Shapail, and after two and a half years, my yellow clown goby finally has a name—Tails! If you can guess the reference, kudos and a cookie to you! ;)

I don't, but my wife does, and I don't even know all the names. I do know the yellow clown goby is lemon drop and the aiptasia eating filefish are pony boy.

Purple tang is named purple. Naso tang is named Naso etc. I stopped naming fish because the fish with names always seemed to be the first to die.
The last fish I named was a female Blue throat trigger. We named her Liza . Yep she's gone :crying-face:

The wife and kids name the fish, I refer to the by the tradenames. Except for clowns, Karen and Chad, and the copperband butterfly fish, Twitch. Oh and idk why by my leopard wrasse was named Rosa Parks, because we got it in February...

Bulgie Eye is the only one of four Vanderbilt’s we can identify
Turbo IV or V (I forget) is the Fighting Conch
Temporary is one of our Hermit Crabs - he’s 12 years old.

I don't, but my 3 year old niece does. This results in names like cloud, sneaker, socks! I did however name my cleaner shrimp, his name is Jacque!

I named my fish the following:
- Clownfish are Chip and Cheeto
- Springeris are Crash, Glitch, and Freeze
I started naming CUC but then I quit. I came with this:
- Emerald Crab is Tinytoa
- Peppermint Shrimp is I forgot
- All the snails are named turbo
