I hate the white pipe and would like to use the gray schedule 80 pipe, but at twice the cost of the white schedule 40 pipe it's too expensive, so I'm thinking of painting mine.
Please post pics of your painted plumbing.

I just spray painted mine with spray paint from Home Depot. I think it was rust o leum. No sanding, looks great!

Not on purpose!

Krylon Fusion will stick to PVC really well. Its best to wipe down the PVC with acetone to remove the protective coating to allow the paint to adhere really well.

Because,....just because we can. (I assume you will vote no) ? :p

In my case I'm setting up another tank, a in-wall reef, so the room in back of it is our fish room. Everything will be exposed so looks means a lot to us. Even if keepers
have the typical stand, a lot of people like to have it all attractive anyway.

What exactly is a picture going to show you? That it's possible? Or are you trying to get ideas of what color might look good or something?

Well, it gives ideas. It shows coverage on the pipe. Shows maybe techniques. Lots of information could be gleaned from a pic. Also you missed the tongue in cheek, but hey..internet warrior on Larry.

Man...I really need to work on my smiley emojis

To me anyway, it's great to see how people create their nice plumbing layout, but for this thread yes, to see what color people have painted.
Years ago I've saw camouflage, candy cane, multi-colors, stripes etc....Not my taste, but interesting & artful.

Also, if I make things of beauty, I keep it cleaner. lol
If I buy a new car I'm always cleaning it, inside and out. Once it gets rust, I don't give a dang, lol (true and honest,...I'm afraid)
