You're so right. You can always make more money but not more time. I have four tanks and spend about 4 hours each week for water changes and maintenance. Working 50+ hours a week as a grocery store manager doesn't help me want to expand upon my hobby. Fishkeeping makes me happy, everything about it but I know my limitations. I want to have fun with the hobby. I don't want it to be a chore. I want to expand upon my tanks, but I can't because of the time factor.
Yup I too have four tanks! Same boat. Two young kids I care for by evening and weekend alone most of the time due to opposite schedules (wife is a retail pharmacist so she gets home at 10 when it's bed time).

Time has quickly become the most valuable resource

I work in my local fish store and I also maintain reefs/fowlr tanks in public and private spaces so things that I want for my tank come pretty easy but I'm content with my 65 gallon sps dominant tank. It does limit the fish I want to keep but it's manageable and it doesn't take as much fusion one and two to keep my alk and calc up. Haha I still use a hob skimmer and my tank isn't drilled but having tons of success growing many sps.
