Does my favia look happy so far?

Hey friends! On October 23 I got what I assume to be a favia from Petco. It was labeled as an Australian coral, I tried to Google image search it. I did a coral dip from tropic marin before adding it into my tank. The first night, he put out some longish feeder tentacles (not sweepers). The night of October 30, I watched as it slowly consumed at least four or five brine shrimp, possibly one or two more, so he definitely has an appetite lol. My question is, does he look happy so far? He's on the sandbed to start since I didn't want to burn him or anything. I've included a picture in order from top to bottom, October 23 at Petco, October 30, and October 31. I've noticed that the edges of the coral look more plump since last night, is that a good or bad thing?

I know it's only been 8 days but I feel like if he wasn't happy, it would be more obvious. Thank you in advance!

Yay! That's a huge relief! Hopefully he continues to do well, thank you! If you don't mind me asking, if something were wrong that didn't make the favia happy, like light, flow, etc., do you know how quickly it would take for me to find out? Even if it's an estimate like another week or something.

Favias tend to be pretty hardy and do well in a lot of conditions so as long as it continues to fluff up I would not worry. When not doing well they will retract into the skeleton. It’ll be pretty stark.

Hey, I hate to bother you again. I went and looked at the coral after a while and it deflated quite a lot, it's a two hour difference between the last photo from before and now. As I'm sending this it's feeder tentacles are out, but is this concerning? It looks a lot more flat than it ever has so far. I'll include the photo from earlier and the one two hours after. I'm very anxious about the livelihood of this coral

Nothing to be concerned about. Corals inflate and deflate throughout the day. It may be hungry, it may need to poop, it may have gotten a bit of sand on and needs to contract to expel it, many reasons for it to contract. If it stays closed for days and doesn’t fluff up then yiu have cause for worry. Not a big deal otherwise.

My favia is the same way. It loves to puff up occasionally and sends out sweepers at night. After feeding him he gets really fat lol
