Does Selcon change your fishey's colors?

Hi everyone. I have been using Selcon for about 2 months now and I have noticed my fish's colors pop a lot more. Oranges on my clowns are getting a bit more intense and especially my royal gramma, his colors have gotten really dark and pronounced. I feed them a very mixed diet though, which probably has more to do with this color deepening than the Selcon. Has anyone ever experienced this before with Selcon?

I don't think Selcon would impact the color. My guess is some of the foods you're feeding contain astaxanthin or similar compounds:
Astaxanthin is a red pigment found in Tigger pods, some shrimp, pacific salmon, etc. It's what give them the reddish/orangish/pinkish coloration. So, as shown in the study above, it does impact color - and it is found naturally in many fish foods in the ocean - but I'm not sure if it would improve all fish colors, or just those with red/orange/pink coloration (such as the clownfish studied above).

Interesting thing to learn about either way though.
It's also in krill. On a related note, spirulina also contains color enhancing compounds (spirulina contains several different color enhancing compounds, but it is best known for improving blue-green colors). Things like beet root juice have also been found to enhance certain colors in fish.
