I have two fairy wrasses. They were put into the tank at the same time. A hooded fairy and a lubbocks. The hooded is a little bigger, but he has recently started harassing the lubbock and has forced him into hiding. Can the mirror method work?

I have only used the mirror trick for aggressive tangs and it has worked wonderfully, but most of the other more docile fish in the tank didn’t care about the mirror.

I would assume it only works on fish that would be aggressive to fish of the same (or similar) species. I don’t know enough about wrasses to know if it would work for you or not but it’s easy to try and see if it helps.

My wife hasn't helped any, she needed electroshock therapy to see any positive improvements.

Eh…never had good luck with the mirror. Worked with mirror up but once removed goes back to aggression. Have almost 100% success with acclimation box. Add one to the box for 2-3 days. They have no choice but to become use to each other while being separated and safe. Last success was with two melanurus wrasse. First introduced they got along. After 2-3 days the biggest wouldn’t let the smaller come out at all. Put the bullied one in acclimation box for two days then released. They swim around together hunting the rocks etc now. No aggression. Also had good success with mixing Pygmy angles this way.
