It would be helpful if you could take a few more pics or a short video using the whitest light you have, Turing down all your blues for clarity. If possible, uploading a video first to YouTube, then linking that back here ensures all R2R members can view the video. Then, we can ask one of the R2R Fish Medic team to take a look for you.

I will also the fish looks a bit skinny from that angle from what I can see. Is it eating?

Those spots look too large and raised up to be ich, more likely mucus plugs from some skin irritation issue. Trouble is, ich can produce these in some instances.

What is the history of this fish?

Yeah I feed the whole tank a good bit of mysis shrimp and some seaweed once a day! I’m gonna post a better pic or a video.

It does look like a small amount of mucus might be sticking out Jay! This fish has been healthy since the day I got him. I’m wondering if my UV light is possibly out

The video I posted isn’t the best. Here’s a couple of pics with the white light on

You should feed them slightly smaller amounts, 3x a day mysids and pellets, and then nori algae once a day.

Is there any thing I can do to treat the mucus spots? I’m gonna be doing my normal water change this weekend.

No - they’ll go away on their own. As I mentioned though, they can be mixed with ich, and that rarely goes away on its own.
