Y'alls tanks are incredible and an inspiration for what I want mine to become. I decided to go reef with a 55 gallon I had to keep cost down. The narrow 13 inch width was difficult to work with but after many rearrangements I think I got it right and happy with it. Now I'm off to move my first corals from the QT tank into it...

I don’t particularly like it, but I also don’t hate it. Still pretty good for maybe 15 minutes of work.
I plan to keep moving things around occasionally until I hit something I really like...fortunately at this stage I don’t mind upsetting the “livestock”.
Ah but that is the fun part of the hobby.

I'm happy with it. Only issue is how long it's taking to mature. Dry rock vs live rock is no comparison, definitely like the ability to take time to build an aqua scape with dry but would never use anything but live rock in any future build!

I want to redo mine so badly. In the beginning i liked it, but over time when corals are added with new rock, I am not loving it.

The thought of redoing it all in a 75g tank is so daunting. I cringe at all the work to re-aquascape and the damage I could cause. so I just left it.

Awesome aquascapes are like a hobby within a hobby! Fine tuning the negative space, minimal rock structure or underwater volcano look is part of the fun of owning a saltwater reef tank. Oh and at times part of the frustration! We even have a forum dedicated just for it! For many the saltwater aquarium is like a living piece of art for their home and having the perfect aquascape is very important. But today is not about how to achieve it, it's more about sharing and inspiring! So let's talk about it and share!

1. Are you proud of how your aquascape looks and how happy are you with it?

2. How long did it take you to get your aquascape just right?

SHARE A PHOTO OF YOUR AQUASCAPE OR ONE OF YOUR MOST FAVORITES!

Still working on setting my tank up. But for trying my hand at this for the first time...I'm pretty happy with it. I think there's plenty of overhangs, caves, and hiding spaces. Particularly the center and somewhat the left structure. I guess I have about 25 or so hours constructing this scape. Like I said I'm pretty happy, so I gave it an 8, but I'll let the fish be the judges.
