I'm sat watching the tank and something from my rock kinda shoot up like smoke it literally looked like smoke and disappeared there's nothing on the rock though you know when a octopus shoots Ink it's like that but white it vanished after a second I do have tiny white specs floating around the tank I just assumed was sand or calcium? I have no snails or bristleworms etc used dry rock and dip coral so deffo nothing came with it. All I have is bubbletip, 2 fish, mushrooms and torch. Could calcium build up do that like just bubble up and pop or something I did dose calcium a few weeks ago so I'm guessing the tiny white bits floating around is just calcium.only thing I notice on rock is tiny white tubes like fan worm looking but tinnnnnny and nothing coming out them

The little tubes

Not sure on the tubes, vermetid snail pieces maybe?

The white puff sounds like something spawning, but i don't have any firsthand experience on that. Just a guess.

My first thought was something cleaning out fine detritus that settled out of the water in the hole where something was living. Could be a crab or shrimp, or worm, even a bivalve, or many things.

I'm it can't be a snail etc as only corals are on plugs so no chance of hitch hikers and I thoroughly check them too I only have 3 coral all rock was dry man made never touched water

Well it's definitely something alive. Calcium doesn't build up like that, it's not possible. What you saw was detritus being blown off the rocks, I can show you a video of what that looks like, it looks just like "smoke".

I have no idea lol but worms I checked last night with a torch too only thing I notice is the little tubes like fan worms on that rock.
