So I understand the process of the AWC with the DOS, but I am trying to determine where the best location to place the fresh salt RO line and also where to draw the water from. I have a RS reefer 250 with V3 sump. My thoughts would be to draw from the skimmer section and return fresh salt water in the return? Or am I completly wrong with this?

Yes, that's exactly what I do.

I have a RSR 250 also. I draw from the first return section, before the filter bags, and return the NSW into the final return section where the return pump is.

Don't have that specific tank, or sump, but basically what I do. Pull from my skimmer section(first section), then replace into the return section(last section).

Same here draw from skimmer section fresh back into return section.

Got it. I just didn't want to pull the water I just added. This makes sense !

I drilled a small hole for RO tubing right where my return comes in, clean and out of the way.
