I have a reefer 250G and 5gal refugium on the side. My alk has been dropping down over the past few days. I’m using a AFR 12ml daily. I was wondering if I can dose Res sea ALK on the side to bring up the ALK or bring up the AFR ? I do 20% water change on weekly bases.

I think either would work. I dose 35ml per day into my 40 gallon.... if your corals are growing and consuming more, it might be worth it to add more AFR

i agree, either will work.

The calcium changes are just testing noise. If you think the levels are higher than you want, use alk. If you do not, then I recommend the AFR, and that is what I would do at least until teh calcium gets into the mid 500's.

FWIW, I use AFR and am not even measuring calcium because I expect it is tracking just fine.
