Sorry for the 10000th post on doising iodide. I have been reading article after article that Randy has posted along with others that have taken on the idea of dosing iodide. My question is the amounts and if daily or weekly is perferred. I recently got a ATI ICP back with levels around 25 ug/L and was trying to get it more up aroudn the 60 ug/L NSW. The only thing I dose to my 85 gal mixed reef is AFR. I do use blue bucket RS salt and do AWCs. Back to my question, Seachem calculations state, on my 85gal system, Id need .125x321x0.035=1.4mL adjustment. Is that a one time adjustment? Seachem, states....daily? I know its absorbed fast by tank/alage fairly quickly...but others state dosing daily or weekly with only 2-3 drops from eye dropper. What woul dbe the best/safest method, I assume small dailys?
Also with litte to no way to test iodine, without an ICP, Im a bit nervous to blindly add anything to the tank.
Any guidance with others that have been sucessful dosing to maintain ideal readings, please advise.
